IMPORTANT CHANGES THIS YEAR for all parade entries
This upcoming year in Chicago 2021, St. patricks day celebration will be called
"the 2021 chicago st patricks day on parade".
Due to possible restrictions from the city OF CHICAGO, DEPT. OF PUBLIC HEALTH and the cdc guidelines, we have decided to incorporate a virtual parade and a portion of a live broadcast on abc 7, along with adhering to all cdc guidelines FOR social distancing.
high school bands
we are asking that any high school band in the state of illinois OR out of state submit their videos PERFORMING ON SCHOOL GROUNDS.
PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR VIDEOS, ALONG WITH CONTACT INFORMATION,
NO LATER THAN JANUARY 15, 2021 TO MICHELE@CHICAGOSTPATRICKSDAYPARADE.ORG
The chicago st patricks day parade committee WILL review the videos submitted no later than january 20, 2021 and will choose 2 bands,
1 from in state and 1 from out of state.
YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED VIA EMAIL, IF YOUR SCHOOL HAS BEEN CHOSEN.
we WILL BE OFFERING THE WINNERS a scholarship FOR 1 in state and 1 out of state high school BAND for $2500.00 EACH.
if the city and cdc guidelines allow, we will invite the 2 winning shools to perform live on saturday, march 13, 2021 in chicago for a live performance, BROADCAST ON ABC 7 LIVE.
PARADE ENTRIES/UNITS INCLUDING ALL IRISH DANCE SCHOOLS, BAGPIPERS AND FLOATS
WE INVITE YOU to share a video of your group performing OR AN IRISH THEMED FLOAT THAT YOUR GROUP WOULD HAVE MARCHED WITH IN THE PARADE. THE CHICAGO ST. PATRICK'S DAY PARADE COMMITTEE WILL VOTE FOR THE BEST ALL AROUND ENTRY. ENTER for a chance to win 2 RT tickets to ireland. make it a fun weekend celebration for your group to participate this year BY RECORDING YOUR OWN VIDEO FOOTAGE OF YOUR FLOAT, DANCE GROUP OR PARADE UNIT.
PARADE ENTRIES/UNITS can ALSO win the chance to participate live on st. patricks day, PER THE CITY AND CDC GUIDELINES.
